Research underpins our teaching and learning as well as fuelling debate and creating new knowledge. Topics covered in our research address professional, community and international issues. Research activity takes place in all our faculties and a number of specialist centres reflecting the particular skills and interests of each.
The University offers MPhil and PhDs in a range of subjects as well as Doctorates in Education and Clinical Psychology. We welcome applications from students in the UK and overseas for both full and part time research.
The research and consultancy activity that takes place here also enables us to form vital partnerships through our Knowledge Transfer activities, which open up the expertise developed at the University to the community at large. We work with a range of client organisations from the public, voluntary and private sectors, to enhance learning, performance, delivery and understanding.
