Geoff Hinchliffe
Geoff Hinchliffe has taught philosophy in the Centre for Continuing Education since 1996 and has particular interests in the Philosophy of Education.ancient Greek philosophy and aesthetics. He is Academic Director for both politics and philosophy programmes, aimed at adults who wish to pursue these disciplines at HE level on a part-time basis. He also has an interest in, and has published on, lifelong learning. Geoff is organiser of the successful Philosophy of Education Seminar Series in the School of Education at UEA. Geoff also works at UEA Careers Centre where he uses a counselling model to deliver individual guidance. In addition he is currently evaluating e-portfolios for UEA students.
His current research interests include:
• Capability approach to learning and education • Education and employability • Relationship between epistemology and learning • Education and happiness
He contributes on a regular basis to conferences both on employability and the philosophy of education.
