Here's a useful listing of the 'bare' essentials for living on the new Web, called Web2.0 by one of the prominent trackers of new developments, Duncan Riley.

  2. A start page
  3. Twitter
The last one is arguably more useful to those trying to keep on top of the very latest developments but the first two are absolutely essential. It would also bear pointing out that this website offers both 1 and 2 under the 'My start page' feature.
