National Curriculum revisited?Submitted by Dominik Lukes on Mon, 11/02/2008 - 10:10.
Project: Educational Policy
It was only last week that Richard Pring raised the question of the wisdom of National Curriculum in the context of Deweyan philosophy and the idea of national curriculum can also be seen as partly in conflict with recent efforts at the personalisation of education. And it turns out, at exactly the same time the parliamentary Children, Schools and Families Committee is launching a new Inquiry where one of the questions is "how best to balance central prescription and flexibility at school/classroom level". Submissions are accepted until 17 March 2008.
