Ann Oliver
Research InterestsAnn Oliver is the Co-Director of the Primary PGCE course. She is responsible for the Science curriculum courses in the Primary PGCE programme. Her interests include all aspects of Science teaching in the early and middle years of education. Her special interests are in the areas of questioning techniques, children's ideas in Science and how to make Science accessible in the classroom. Areas of research include peer support in the classroom and the role of 'parent helpers' on educational visits to Launch Pad at the Science Museum. She has worked on teacher recruitment researching the induction of newly qualified teachers in the teaching of Science at KS2 and issues of recruitment and retention. She is currently researching ways of adopting a creative approach to teaching and learning science.
