Constable Terrace - network downtime 8 Oct and 10 OctDue to essential engineering works, the network connection in Constable Terrace will be subject to disruption during the following times this week:
Wednesday 8 Oct (morning) and Friday 10 Oct (day-time).
On Wednesday morning the envisaged outages will be around five minutes per location as we make our way around the building. On Friday the primary cable (which has shown signs of failure) will be cut and repaired over the course of a few hours so a defined timeslot for the works is not available since this depends on progress elsewhere on campus.
We apologise for the inconvenience.

Reminder - Do not give out your UEA passwordWe have received another round of hoax emails claiming that web email accounts will expire unless a user name and password is supplied. To ensure the security of your account, please NEVER SEND YOUR PASSWORD IN AN EMAIL. The result of replying to hoax emails is that spammers access your account and use it to send thousands of spam emails which in turn trigger the blacklisting by Hotmail. This means that email sent from any UEA account is rejected by Hotmail and often by other email providers as well. In order to try to prevent UEA being blacklisted, ITCS will disable any accounts found to be sending high volumes of spam.
If you have replied to an email sending details of your username and password, please contact the staff Helpdesk on 2345 or the student helpdesk on 3169 as soon as possible.
